BUT.... I should confess that I saw a bit of Dave Gorman on the One Show ('Oneeeee!' derder derderderderderder!) and he was showing some graph of Rick Astley's 'Never give you up' which I found quite amusing. That might have contributed to this one. But Popjustice is probably a bigger influence.
have you seen the facebook group "pop songs are best represented by graphs" ? was this your inspiration?
