Box Car Willis

Big developments in the box in the last 10 days! We'd not checked it for a week and a quick peep on Good Friday revealed that the floor had been covered by a layer of feathers and moss. Later that day, an egg appeared! Over the weekend more and more were laid and here's the scene from yesterday evening (Tuesday 26th):



So definitely 5 and probably 6.

I'm not sure how my nerves will cope - I'm now having to do daily checks in the evening to make sure that the parent bird (I assume it's the mum) is safely tucked up for the night.


* Not sure how many box/egg puns I'll be able to squeeze out in the forthcoming days/weeks, but I'll be giving it my best shot
