Didn't we used to call this room a 'kitchen'?
No, where I work it's a 'Tea Station'. I expect it's the same at NASA.
Reminds me a bit of when I did some work on the lights at the Johnson & Johnson plant in Hull (happy times!). We were required in the 'Wound Management Laboratory' which sounds pretty exciting right? It was where they made sticking plasters.
I fear that I'm spending too much time listening to Terry Wogan in the morning and becoming a TOG.

Tell me about it. I'm a tog too. I almost laugh at janet and john. If you saw the tea making facilities we have (in a cupboard, no really, they are) then you would understand that the word kitchen couldnt be applied.
Likewise on all counts. Apart from Janet and John: I find it too rude. I actually find Wogan funny these days, but am yet to warm to the woman that does the travel and Sarah Kennedy - so boring! The MET must have a tea station, as it's too small to stand in. Which reminds me: I must blog about people who are bigger than rooms.
I'm getting diminishing enjoyment from listening to Wogan now. All of his idiot travel/news monkeys are being given way too much airtime and just talk unfunny, laboured garbage.
Don't get me started on Sarah Kennedy. Did you see the reports last week that she was slurring words/making nonsensical comments? She hasn't been on air since...
Its....showtime!
(cue some song we've never heard of from a musical that ran for three weeks in 1942)
did you hear richard hammond overing for wogan yesterday? He was really bad.
You have to listen to wogan because the alternative is Chris moyles (even more talkative than wogan and last week had adopted west midlands intonation that offended me to my midlands core) or commercial radio (doesnt bear thinking about).
oh and btw, I am starving but cant go and fill my kettle because someone else is using the 'kitchen' (cupboard)
In my bedroom the first choice is 6Music (Adam & Joe doing breakfast show which means I don't have to wince at the usual dolt they have on there [Sean Keaveny?], followed by XFM. It's in the shower that I get my Radio 2 burst.
was that Sean Keaveny giving me some abuse?
we got your card from Scotland the day after we saw you last week. Lazy neighbours!
We have a kitchen on both floors where I work. As you know Water is super important. Each kitchen has 2 fridges, a microwave, a coffee maker, a mains water cooler, a toaster, a sandwich toaster, tables and chairs, a dishwasher and special plates, cups/saucers, glasses, jugs and cutlery for when the important people have a meeting. Did I saw I worked at a charity?
