A week ago I got carried away and created a runner bean rearing centre in the spare room. Seven days on, it appears to have been a great success:

The tallest of them is about 16cm (the tallest sunflower we have at the moment is 20cm). Time to crack open the grow bag....

Look at them all growing towards the sun! Or are they trying to peek out the window? What's going on out there?
It looks a little sinister, Moon is right. Maybe we will all wake up blind one morning and get killed by 'bolas plants.
You should see them now! It's like a bloody jungle in there! The tallest of them is now a cubit long (anyone else do them in maths at school?).
I really need to get them loose outside. I'm telling you, we're gonna be FEASTING on runner beans this autumn.
